Unfortunately, these codes can not be accurately converted into a fully spelled-out form, due to potential conflicts in interpreting the codes. For example, the code "NE" could be New York, Nevada, or Netherlands. Therefore, we strongly recommend you take caution in making any assumptions about this location field. Judith,
I believe I have solved at least half of your problem. I believe that your Will is the son of William Norman b Sept 1828 and Virginia McKnight b abt 1820. Will, if this is correct, is the youngest son. I am basing my conclusion on the fact that he is living next Thomas Norman in 1910. Thomas is the oldest son of William and Virginia. According to my records Will was born abt 1867. His wife, Martha, is possibly the daughter of Rufus Norman. If you think this is correct I can send you a run down on this line.
I am not directly related to the Normans. Several of my relatives married into the Norman Family. I have done quite a bit of research on them because they always seem to be close by. Also a large number of them are buried in the Bells Campground Cemetery. I am currently researching all of the major families buried there.
Dan Dugger
