Abraham Huffman, one of the oldest and most substantial UnitedBrethren in the East, died at his home near Mt. Zion, Augusta Co, Va.after a short illness on March 30, 1893, aged 72 years, 11 months and10 days. He was converted in early boyhood at his father's housepreaching places under the preaching of faith of the church, many ofwhom he knew personally. from his conversion he was all active workerand grew with the passing years, broadening and widening in his Christian syn(?) --- this to the last, --- being a warm heartedSunday School Superintendent. His house was the preacher's house for more than half a century. he died at a ripe age, full of good works. He leaves three daughters all earnest --- Christians, and two grandsons in the ministry, Rev. A. M. Horn, and A. S. Hammack, both in the Virginia Conference.
