WINS LANGUAGE MEDAL
Miss Helene C. Roberts of Lakewood
Honored at Wooster College
Miss Helene C. Roberts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Roberts of 1479 Ridgewood Avenue, Lakewood, a graduate of Lakewood High school in 1922, now a junior at the College of Wooster has won the medal offered by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish.
Her proficiency was cited at the commencement exercises there this week.
Her father's use of Spanish while directing all enterprises for the Standard Oil Company in Havana, Cuba, she said, interested her in that tongue. She studied it in high school, read a Spanish newspaper regularly and plans to enter a foreign branch of a bank.
