Married in 1924 to John William Pfost, b. 1905 in Clinton, Missouri. Later divorced, in 1942, she had her name, Pfost, legally changed to Post. Ione (Woodson) Gore Cooper Rohrer, the seventh great grandaughter of Dr. John Woodson, passed away June 4, 2001, in Aurora, Colorado. She was the widow of Edward H. Rohrer. Ione (Woodson) Rohrer was predeceased by her daughter, Ione (Woodson) Joan Pfost Martin, her grandaughter, Pamela (Woodson) Martin, and her third husband, Edward H, Rohrer. She was born in Marshall, Missouri on December 21, 1906 to Ellen Woodson of Frankfort, Kentucky, and and Dr. Francis Minor Cooper, of Paris, Missouri. In 1909, Ione moved with her parents to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where in 1925 she married John William Pfost. They had two children, Ione (Woodson) Joan Pfost, and Ellen (Woodson) Pfost. Later divorced, she married Jack Kenton, also of Colorado Springs, during WWII, and then in 1949, Edward H. Rohrer, also of Colorado Springs who passed away in Denver, Colorado on February 3, 1994. Ione Rohrer is survived by her daughter Ellen (Woodson) Pfost Golden of Colorado Springs, Colorado, her grandaughters Sue Ellen (Woodson) Primavera of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, Judith (Woodson) Ann Martin, five great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Ione (Woodson) Rohrer will be cremated and buried in Fort Logan Cemetery along with her third husband, Edward H. Rohrer. John William Pfost
Defendant COMPLAINT
Comes the plaitiff above named by her attorney, H. T. McGarry , and for cause of action against the defendant and complains and alleges:
I.
Thaf for a period of more than one year immediately preceding the commencement of this action, plaintiff has been and now is a bona fide resident of El Paso County, State of Colorado.
II.
That plaintiff and defendant were married at Colorado Springs, Colorado on or about the 8th day of November, 1925, and have been ever since, and now are, husband and wife.
III.
That two children have been born to said marriage union, to-wit: Ellen Pfost of the age of four years, and Ione Pfost of the age of three years; that the plaintiff is a proper and suitabale person to have the care, custody and control of said minor children.
IV.
That since said marriage the defendant has been extremely and repeatedly druel toward plaintiff.
V.
That the defendant is a strong and able bodied man and steadily employed and earns the sum of $125 per month; the the plaintiff is withough means of support with which to maintain herself and familyh, and is soleley dependent upon the defendant for support.
VI.
WHEREFORE, Plainitiff prays that she be granted a decree of absolute divorce from the defendant; that she be awarded the care, custody and control of the minor children, Ione Pfost and Ellen Pfost; that she be allowed permanent alimony, that she be allowed temporary alimony, attorney fees, and Court costs; and for other and further relief as to the Court may seem just and proper.
