Obituary of Rachel Richard

The funeral of Mrs. Rachel St. Martin, daughter of Mrs. Philomen
Richard of this city, was held from Notre Dame de Lourdes church,
Minneapolis, Thursday morning at 9 o'clock.
According to her daughter, Georgianna in 1988:
When Rochelle died of consumption, their grandmother Philomene
Richard had the girls move to Little Falls because she didn't want them
to live with thier father. They moved to a house across the street from
the Richards and the oldest sister, Eleanor, took responsibility for
raising the girls. It was hard on Eleanor and she only married herself
for a short time.
Their father, Anthony St. Martin, said "They aren't going to take
his daughters away from him."; so he moved to Little Falls and set up a
barber shop. He later died there in 1907.
