Individual:
She attended public schools in Dade City, FL, then college at the
Florida State College for Women (now FSU) in Tallahassee. She taughtschool in Dade City for a few years before moving to Tampa in 1921.She found a job clerking in the office of O'Berry & Hall Co., awholesale grocer. It was there that she met Walter Berg, who was thebookkeeper. Marriage ensued, and she subsequently became a housewife.When her son left home for college, she went back to work, clerkingfor Mack Truck Co., in Tampa. She was active in the Seminole HeightsBaptist Church in Tampa and later in the First Baptist Church ofBrandon. She was short, about 5'0" tall, with auburn hair and browneyes. She developed Parkinson's Disease in 1975 which slowlydebilitated her physically. Her mind remained sharp until her death.
