"In the Partridge Genealogy by George H. Partridge, 1904 on page 33 it is recorded,
'Samuel Partridge4, Samuel3, Samuel2, John1 was born in Franklin, Mass. March 31, 1741. He married first Feb. 2, 1764 in Wrentham, Keziah, born in Wrentham Aug. 29, 1735, died May 20, 1771 in Wrentham daughter of Nathaniel and Susanna Hawes. After her death, he appears to have married second Elizabeth -----------. He died Nov. 9, 1776 while in the Revolutionary Service. On April 6, 1778, Amos Partridge and his widow Elizabeth were approved joint administrators of his estate (Suffolk County Probate Records volume LXXII, p. 375). His children all by his first wife were born in Wrentham (now Franklin).'
In the roster of Captain John Boyd's company during the Lexington Alarm at the start of the Revolutionary War, Samuel Partridge is listed as a private."
