Brady Township
Clearfield County PA: Luce Nancy 1841 1933
Called "Connecticut Yankees". Moved to DuBois, PA & opened a restaurant.
The restaurant was destroyed by a fire that destroyed a significant part of
DuBois. George left home and was never heard from again. Nancy cleaned
houses to support her family. She was known as a dainty woman, and a hard
worker.
Calculated: Ruth Chatfield remembered that her great-grandmother died when
she was about 10 yrs old and her Great-Grandmother Nancy was about 85 years
old.

I also show: William Beatty b.1808, marr. Matilda Hutchison b.1813 (dtr of Wm.
Hutchison and Margaret Moorhead - my main lines) Wm. B. & Matilda H. had:

2. John b.1835
3. Margaret b.1838 marr. Joe Thomas, had one child - Ena Thomas marr. unknown
Loomer.
4. Nancy b.1842, marr. unknown Luce, had one child - Lena Luce marr.unknown Russell
- had 3 children: Nancy, Charles & Wm. Russell.
5. Elanor (Ella) b.1845, d.1916, marr. Willis J. McGinnis - had 10 children.

I also have: James McClelland marr. Margaret (Elizabeth) Hutchison (no dates on any of
these) had daughter: Anna McClelland marr. Claud Uber,
they had: 1. Vivian Uber, 2. Helen Uber, 3. Leila Uber.
That's it for the Beatty's and the Ubers. As I mentioned my main lines
are Hutchi(n)son and Moorhead. All of my ancestors appear to have come from Ireland to
PA. and worked their way westward thru PA. as the frontiers opened up, ending up in
Butler Co., in the early 1800's where most of
them are buried. Does any of this connect with your group???? Joan Semper
