Notes 
Individual:
James was buried 6 February 1941 at Blue Mound Cemetery, near Pottersville, Missouri.

His first home with Laura was in Chapin, Missouri; (his?) store burned in 1895. Moved to Peace Valley with Elizabeth Jane (mother); at time of death was minister of Free Will Baptist Church and a farmer.

James house in Gunter Valley, MO burned 25 March 1899. House was occupied by Charles Mott. It was a total loss, no insurance. ( Howell Co. Gazette extract, from Gerald Groves.-1998)

From Cathy Everhard's book: "J.E.S. Pentecost and L. F. Pentecost his wife and their 10 children was all at home on the night of April 3, 1912 and J.E.S. Pentcost's mother E.J. Hunter and Everett Wilson, nephew of Laura F. Pentecost, on the Elliot Farm on the Myatt property of Colo.J. L. Torrey's."

1930 Census. I can't read for sure what his occupation was, but it had something to do with PAINT.
