Dear Bill,
Thanks a heap.
When did Elizabeth Sweeney die? (Who was married to Isaac Waters)
Did Isaac Waters marry again on 11/21/1833 in Boone Co., MO to Sarah Jane Nichols? Who are the children by this issue?
I have other children listed, so must be by his second wife. When did this said Isaac Waters die in Boone Co., MO?
I am trying to straighten this family out before I publish my book on Moses Sweeney descendants and knew you had more on the Waters than anybody else, so seeking your help.
Always,
Jay

Dear Bill,
I am attaching Shepherd Sweeney (son of Moses)descendants for you to look at and see if you have any additional info on this
line as his daughter Elizabeth Sweeney married Isaac Waters whose parents were Joseph Waters and Priscilla Sweeney, being 1st cousins.
You helped me so much with your line of Priscilla Sweeney who married Joseph Waters and it is sincerely deeply appreciated
which is in my book of descendants. You name is listed under Acknowledgements, Credits and Sources on the Forward pages.
I am writing my 2nd edition book on The Descendants of Moses Sweeney and is 655 pages today, 8 1/2 X 11 size (abt 1 3/4 thick), 787 Sweeney surnames, 938 descendant families with children, abt 5,500 related family names and all with an index
of names, showing each page a name is listed, all a hard pressed bound book and no small print. No legal documents are
included (took too much room) , but colored pictures of Moses Sweeney's cabin being lived in, being torn down, showing the
logs, pictures after site cleared showing one slave cabin left, pictures of his grave site before and after clean up
with new white fence. I am shooting for a June deadline, as book binder told me to stop around 720 pages.
Only 35 copies of the 1st edition was printed and went to all Sweeney kin that wanted same, mostly for proof reading. Word
seems to have gotten around, as many are now wanting the 2nd edition. I have made two trips to KY in last 6 months and will
go again the 1st of May, 2004. My daughter took me in October as I could not drive, due to stroke.
To bring you up to date, I had another bad stroke last June in San Antonio, could not walk, sold home, so my kids moved me
back on a walker to Tennessee where I had lived prior for over 40 years. I am now able to drive a car again. So, I know time
is short and that why I want to complete all as soon as possible.
To give you an idea I have the following:
Joseph 68 descendant families
Mary 115
Henry 0 (think killed by Indians)
Nancy 34
Charles 194
Edmund 58
Patsy 38
Shepherd 6
Milly 62
Daniel 75
Job 193
Priscilla 33
Betsy 37
John 105
Yes, some overlap as called "double dippers" So you see I am very weak on Shepherd and this is why I am asking your help.
I plan to donate several books to County libraries.
Again, thank you so much for your help and I have finally learned how to send and receive attachments.
Always,
Jay

Dear Bill and Nancy,
Still haven't gotten a book ready to go to Columbia Library, but will before too long.
Since the 3rd edition book you saw, I now have another 400 Sweeney descendant families with children, too large to bind for a 4th edition, so found a good book program for my computer with a good locater index for people in the book. I am now in the process of doing that book and transferring all data I have into that book to burn a CD in book form. Same format and with the colored pictures as well. That whole cost should go between $5. and $10.00 including mailing the book CD. Have a letter to box company in Atlanta at present time for boxes.
At present time I have been working hard on one of Edmund Sweeney's daughter Matilda, who married a Isaac Stephens (of course the Stevens name has come into the family later) in Warren Co., KY and moved to Ohio Co., KY after he lost his share of his fathers farm, inherited, in a poker game. Have found no kin living at the present time, so doing a lot of census and marriage lookups and just takes time. Have found some but not all.
Hope you had a wonderful 4th with the family.
Always,
Jay
