I have edited out the people who are total speculation at this time. Keep in mind that because of missing/lack of records, the following lineage is NOT docuemented.
9. MARTHA2 WITHERSPOON (Alexander1) was born circa 1793 in Iredell Co., North Carolina. She married John Boyd, son of William Boyd and Isabel Leach, circa 1809. She died circa 1851 in Newton Co., Missouri.
JOHN BOYD was born circa 1787 in Burke Co., North Carolina. He was named as a grandson in the will of John Leach on 19 Feb 1805 in Wilson Co., Tennessee.
The 10 known children of Martha2 Witherspoon and John Boyd were as follows:
33 i. DAVID F.3 BOYD was born circa 1811 in Wilson County, Tennessee. He married Elizabeth E. Blankenship, daughter of Sylvester Blankenship and Ann Wilson, circa 1833.
34 ii. WILLIAM M. BOYD was born on 24 Nov 1812 in Wilson County, Tennessee. He married Isabella McKnight on 24 Mar 1834 in Rutherford Co., Tennessee. He married 2 Mrs. Derinda Lacy on 3 Jun 1847 in Newton Co., Missouri. He died on 15 Mar 1875 in Newton Co., Missouri, at age 62.
35 iii. ISABELLA E. BOYD was born circa 1815 in Wilson County, Tennessee. She married John Boyd on 17 Jan 1836 in Rutherford Co., Tennessee. She died on 10 Apr 1848 in Newton Co., Missouri.
36 iv. ROSANNAH BOYD was born on 20 Apr 1817 in Wilson County, Tennessee. She married James Henderson Boyd, son of Aaron Boyd, on 13 Jan 1836 in Rutherford Co., Tennessee. She died circa 1851 in Newton Co., Missouri.
37 v. JOSEPH ALEXANDER BOYD was born on 26 Sep 1819 in Wilson County, Tennessee. He married Holly Ann Jones circa 1849. He died on 4 May 1859 in Newton Co., Missouri, at age 39.
