Quincy John Lott
Mr. Quincy John Lott, age 79 of Poplar Street, Douglas, GA passed away Tuesday, May 27, 1997, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, GA following an extended illness. Mr. Lott, a native of Atkinson County, GA, was born March 22, 1918, the son of the late Joel and Annie Bell Youngblood Lott. His church membership was at the Hebron Baptist Church. He was a retired welder and a Veteran of the United States Army having served during WWII. Survivors include: wife, Mary Jackie Joiner Lott of Douglas, GA; three daughters Lourice Merritt, Mary White and Judy Bennett of Douglas, GA; three sons, Jimmy Lott, John Lott and Acie Lott of Douglas, GA; five sisters, Minnie Mae Paulk, Ester Purcell, Idelle Downey, Mary O'Steen and Louise Smith of Douglas, GA; brother Curtis Lott of Douglas, GA; 24 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Lott was preceded in death by his son Quincy Joe Ben Lott of Douglas, GA.. Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM, Friday May 30, 1997, at the Hebron Baptist Church in Coffee Co., GA with Rev. George Carroll Paulk officiating. Special music was provided by ___________. Interment followed at the Hebron Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Crissy Lott, Jacob Music, Jesse Music, Andy Bennett, Wayne Lott, Buddy Jandrain, Eddie White and Bo Worth. Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
