1 _KKNB MEDI BookLoudoun County at the time of the Revolution was one of the most densely po pulated counties in the State. Although the war never touched Loudoun soil, her volunteer rate, according to the returns of 1780 and 1781, numbered 1,746 -
1 _KKNB far in excess of those numbers reported by any other Virginia county. The Ketoctin B aptist Church in northern Loudoun County, organized in 1770, became a meeting place for the colonists who were eager to hear the Rev. John Marks, an outsp
1 _KKNB oken opponent of the abuses of the English Parliament on the Americans. His fiery sp eaches helped send an extraordinary number of patriots into militia and Continental Army service.

1 _KKNB d perfect mind and memory calling to mind the mortality of my body that it is appoin ted for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last will and Testament in the following nanner that is to say principally and first of all I recomi
1 _KKNB tmend my soul to God who gave it and my body to the earth to be buried in a christia n like manner at the desscression of my Executors whom I shall hereafter appoint and as touching such worldly estate wherewith God hath been pleased to ble
