Moses, born in Fayette County, Ky in 1802, married _____ True, the sist er of Greenberry True, his brother-in-law. He moved his family to Springfi eld in 1824 and "...reared a family there, and died... At that time, 187 5, two of his sons were living in Springfield, Il. He had five children; h owever, only two of them were "living in Springfield" in 1875. Moses and h is wife had five children: John T., Lucindy, Jeptha, Lewis Henry and Jo hn Wesley Pilcher.
As he moved his family to Springfield in 1924, he would have had to have b een married by that time and had at least one child. He would have be en 18 in 1820; therefore, his date of marriage is estimated at around th at time as he could have had more than one child prior to the move to Illi nois.
