Jean BLANCHARD was born c. 1611 in Poitou. He arrived in Acadia around 1640 with his parents. He married Radégonde LAMBERT c. 1639 in France. They had 5 children, 2 sons, 3 daughters, born between 1643 and 1646 that can be accounted for. Two children from this line are my directancestors. First child, Magdeleine* born in 1643. She married MichelRICHARD dit SANSOUCY in 1656 and the other is second son, Guillaume** born in 1650. He married Hugette GOURGEON in 1672. --------------- Radegonde LAMBERT, wife of Jean BLANCHARD, had six children in 1671. She was already a grandmother. Her oldest daughter Madeleine BLANCHARD, 28years old, wife of Michel RICHARD, first of his name in Acadia, had sevenchildren at this time.
