MASON, William (1770 - Present)
William Mason is believed to been born in Virginia in 1770. Census records indicate that his son, Robert H. Mason, was also born in Virginia. Family lore has it that William came from Mason County in what is now West Virginia. Research to date has not confirmed this information. At this time, there is no indication of William's wife. However, it is known that they had 5 children that lived to adulthood. At some point, the Mason family moved to Fairfield County, OH.
