The Aldrich Family: Huron Thomas Aldrich was born abt. 1814 in Scoito County, Ohio. He married Louisa Searl on Oct 6, 1836 in Scioto County, Ohio. They migrated to from Claremont County, Ohio to Wayne County, Missouri between 1850 and 1860. Huron Thomas dissapears between 1860-1867. Louisa's father's will, written on Aug. 2, 1853. list her as being Mrs. Louisa Aldrich. Her mothers estate papers on Sept. 30, 1867 list her as Mrs. Louisa Dudley of Missouri. I have found Huron and Louisa on the 1860 Wayne County census, and I have found Louisa on the 1870 Wayne County Census married to a John Dudley. Any information on what happened to Huron Thomas or where Louisa is buried would be greatly appreciated. The Holladay Family: William Holladay was born Feb 15, 1814 in Tennessee. I suspect that his father may have been the Thomas Holladay listed on the 1830 Madison County, Missouri Census. He has a young son in the household the right age to be William. William married Jane Tong on Mar 3, 1833 in Madison County. Any information on William's father would be greatly appreciated. The Meador Family: Joseph Meador was born Nov 29, 1815 in Sumner County, Tennessee. He married Louisa Rhodes on Jul 19, 1839 in Sumner County. She was born May 6, 1818 in Tennessee. This family migrated to Wayne County, Missouri between 1850-1860 to be near Joseph's brother Joel. Any information on their burial place or who Louisa's parents were would be greatly appreciated. Henry J. Meador was the son of Joseph Meador. He was born on May 8, 1840 in Tennessee. He married a woman named Charity abt 1867 and is listed on the Wayne County, Missouri census in 1870 with her and a daughter named Mary. On the 1880 Census for that county he is listed with a woman named named Margaret. Also in the household are their children Mary, Louisa E., Noah J., and George L. Henry dissapears between the 1880 census and 1899. On the 1900 Census for Wayne County, Missouri Margaret is listed as head of Household as Margaret Bratcher with the following children in the household: Jefferson Meador(Noah J.), Ida I. Meador, Alice O. Meador, Payton Bratcher, and Lucy M. Bratcher. Oral family history has it that Payton and Noah Jefferson were half brothers. I would like to know who the Bratcher was that Margaret married. Where they are buried and death dates for Margaret and Henry Meador. The Oakes family from Alabama. William Henry Oakes b. abt. 1885 married Jennie Ann Kelley b. 1892 d. August 19, 1976 in Marshall County Alabama on November 19, 1906. William and Jennie's children were Fennie Irene, Bessie N., Sadie Mae, Nolie L., Rethal L., Clarsie V., Norman P., Walter B., Earlie B., Raymond D., and William D. I am having trouble finding out who William Henry's parents were any help on this would be appreciated. William Oakes and Jennie Oakes are buried in a Cemetary in Bassett Arkansas. I am researching also the Sims and Kelley families of Alabama. The Heaton family from Alabama. William C. Heaton b. 1851 married Mary A. E. Phillips b. April 26, 1854 in Hart Co., GA. Mary Phillips brought one child into this marriage, Charlie Phillips. William and Mary's children were Carl "Carrie or Carry" Doyal, Minnie, Quillen Tarply, Ardella, Serella, and William Larkin "Parker". I would appreciate any information that you could give me on these families, and will be willing to share any information that I have.
