Mr Alonzo Bates, an old and respected pioneer citizen of Dayton, aged 77, was stricken with paralysis in the city Thursday and taken to Chas. Smiths rooms in the post office block where he died in the evening.
The funeral will take place Saturday, Rev. E.Perry of this city officiating.
