Thomas Came to Wisconsin in 1877 or 1878. He married Eva Bates, Dec 30, 1830, at Saxeville,Wi.
They bought part of her parents homestead and lived there until 1927.They then lived at Crystal Lake corners until they went to live with Thier son George and his wife in 1944.
They were married for 64 years before his death sept28,1948.
His funeral was at Crystal Lake Church, Friday Oct 1,1948 at 2pm. the Reverand Elmer Sheperd officiating.
Interment Crystal Lake Cemetery.

Mr. & Mrs Thomas Gill of Dayton Celebrated Fiftieth Anniversary Dec 29th.
Mr.&Mrs. Thomas Gill will reach the 50th mile stone of happy married life Saturday of next week when on December 29th they will celebrate their golden Wedding anniversary.
Mr. Gill was born in Chatham Ontario Canada, Dec. 28th,1858. Mrs. Gill whose maiden name was Eva Bates was born in Dayton June 29, 1858. Their marriage took place at Saxeville, Dec 29,1883 and during Thier married life they lived on a farm in Dayton 43 years and for the past seven years Mr. Gill has operated a gasoline service station at Crystal Lake.
Three children are spared to enjoy the happy culmination of a half century of Thier parents marital bliss. They are : Lucy, Mrs. Rademacher of Milwaukee,Wi. George gill and Lewie Gill, both of Dayton.
Mr. & Mrs. Gill will hold open house from 1-4 P.M. on the momentous day for all Thier relatives, friends and neighbors.

Funeral services for Thomas Gill, 89, who died last Wednesday at the home of his daughter-in-law, Mrs. George Gill in the town of Farmington, Waupaca county, were held Friday afternoon. Rev. Elmer Sheperd was in charge of the services at 2pm o'clock at the Crystal Lake church and burial followed in the parish cemetery.
Born in Chatham Canada, on Dec 28,1858, Mr. Gill came to the states in 1877, settling in Waushara county.He was married on Dec 3o,1884 and following Thier marriage he and his wife lived in Waushara county for 30 years. They then moved to the town of Dayton, Waupaca county, where they lived until three years ago when they went to reside with Thier daughter-in-law.
Surviving are his wife, a son Louis of Waushara county, a daughter, Mrs. John Rademacher of King, 10 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
