Notes 
Individual:
CHAMBERS, Rev. A. J. - was born December 19, 1869 and departed this life July 23, 1964 being 94 years, 7 months and 4 days of age. He joined the New Salem Church in February, 1887 and ordained a minister in 1900. He preached the Gospel over 66 years. In 1898, he was married to SALLIE PENNINGTON and to this union was born 7 children, 2 preceding him in death. The surviving children are ELDON, CLEGIE, R. O., MARIE and CELAH. He served as Clerk of New Salem Church for a number of years, was pastor of a number of churches, Honorary pastor of Paint Rock Baptist Church and honorary pastor of White Rock Baptist Church of which he was a charter member, and led many souls to Christ. As our beloved brother Paul said "His building is eternal in the Heavens, for our loss is his eternal gain in Glory." White Rock Baptist Church.
