Individual:
Cleeogh was born blind. He was an excellent musician. He played guitar with the Coffee Family and recorded several gospel albums. He married late in life.

CHAMBERS, CLEEOH — 76, of Route 1, Oneida, passed away Tuesday evening, November 19, 1991, at the Scott County Hospital. He was the son of the late MICHAEL JAMES CHAMBERS and the late CORDIE HONEYCUTT CHAMBERS and was also preceded in death by his first wife, VELMA CHAMBERS; one sister, MARGARET JEFFERS; two brothers, VESTIE CHAMBERS and MARION CHAMBERS. He joined the Church at an early age and was a member of the West Robbins Missionary Baptist Church. He sang with the Coffey Family for several years. Mr. CHAMBERS is survived by his wife, CAROLYN BYRD CHAMBERS of Route 1, Oneida; two step-daughters, DAWN SMITH and SHARON FOSTER both of Helenwood; three brothers, EZRA CHAMBERS of Orlando, Fla., WILLIE CHAMBERS and NATHAN CHAMBERS both of Route 1, Oneida; three sisters, GERTIE JEFFERS of Knoxville, LULA POSEY of the Capital Hill Community, GENEVA STRUNK of Detroit, Mich.; seven grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted from the Fairview Baptist Church at 1 p.m. Friday, November 22, with Rev. CARL JEFFERS and Rev. JOHNNY ZACHARY officiating. The Christian Harmony Singers sang. Burial was in the Byrd Cemetery in the Norma community. Serving as pallbearers were: DAVID R. YORK, RONALD SMITH, REV. TED DAVIS, DEAN CHAMBERS, LUSTER POSEY, CARL STRUNK and DANNY CHAMBERS. West-Murley Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. (Source: Scott County News, 28 Nov 1991, p8)
