of 322 Summit Lane, East Liverpool, Ohio
a retired City Street Department Employee,
died Sunday December 15, 1968 at 6pm
at home following a lenghty Illness.
He retired in 1951.
He was born October 11, 1883
in Burslem, Stoke-on-trent, England
a son of the late
John Fone
&
Olive Rowley Fone
He came to East Liverpool from
Trenton, New Jersey 50 years ago.
At one time he worked in the area potteries
and managed semi-pro Baseball teams
for the Riverview Florists and the Homer
Laughlin China Co. during his youth.
Mr. Fone was a marathon runner and a
professional Basketball player.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge 258
and the Eagles Lodge both of East Liverpool, Ohio
He was preceded in death by;

Mrs. Anna Fournier Fone May 11,1950
He is survived by;
a daughter;
Miss Edith Fone at home
3 sons;
Paul Fone of East Liverpool, Ohio
John Fone of East Liverpool, Ohio
George Fone of East Liverpool, Ohio

Mrs. George Smith of Trenton, New Jersey

Services will be held Wednesday at 2 pm
in the Dawson Funeral Home
with the Rev. D. R. Salisbury of the
St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.
Burial will be in the
Columbiana County Memorial Park,
Calcutta, Columbiana Co., Ohio
