The ancestors of my husband, Stephen Osborn. This Osborn line has a long history in the US, tracing back to Joseph Osborn of New Jersey, who fought in the Revolutionary War, and was with Washington at Valley Forge. The Osborns came to Ohio at the start of the 19th century. The Shubert line comes from Croatia at the turn of the 20th Century, from Zlobin; the family name was originally spelled Subat.
