Notes 
Individual:
The Liningtons came to Aurora, Ilinois in 1870. He was a carpenter. George and Bessie are buried in North Lake Cemetery in Aurora, Illinois with his sister Rachel, and his brother Andrew. Gravestone inscriptions: "George Linington 1837-1922, Bessie HIS WIFE 1836-1917."

Bessie came to Canada from Ireland with her widowed father at the age of 7.

Obituary:

George O. Linington died at 2 o'clock this morning at the home of his son, George A. Linington, 511 Downer Place, after a lingering illness, aged 85 years.

He was born in York, Ontario, Canada, January 8, 1837 and had lived in Aurora and vincinity for the last 54 years. He was formerly employed as a carpenter, retiring several years ago.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Christine Brundage of Geneva and Mrs. Alice Shaw of St.Charles, two sons, Edward of Chicago, and George of Aurora, also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the home of his son, George, 511 Downer Place. The Rev. J.M Scneider will officiate. Interment will be in West Aurora Cemetery.
