From his father's estate, Daniel Bechdel received a saddle and bridle, as well as 35 acres of land near Eagleville, and mountain land purchased from Richard Peters containing 187 acres. Daniel had to pay $20/acre for the 35 acres and $3.50 per acre for the mountain land. (Centre County OC-198)

Daniel's estate inventory, which gives his residence as Liberty Twp., was taken 22 May 1877. It includes mostly farming implements and a few household items. The widow, "Mary Beachdel" took her entire $300 worth of the estate in material goods. (Centre County OC-252)
At April Term, 1878, John C. Council, C. A. Williams, James A. Gunsallus, and Christina Bowman came forth and petitioned that Daniel Bechdel had sold them land in his lifetime, which they had paid in full; that they were never given a deed to the land; and further, that they wished Samuel Bechdel, administrator, and the heirs, to give them deeds to the lots, all in the town of Eagleville.
