No connection has ever been proved and any information to that effect is erroneous. LDS and other sources have no primary sources to show this relationship and all information used to prove this relationship was generated by me, Leonard Campbell. Other people have made the connection on the false presumption of a potential birth date.
From Bedford History: three men have been killed in this town by the fall of a tree. Mr. Cochran, many years ago, in the north part of the town; Mr. Phineas Campbell, in 1845, and Capt. John Patten, Jan 31, 1851.
