Notes
Individual:
[Brøderbund WFT Vol. 11, Ed. 1, Tree #0089, Date of Import: Sep 30, 1999]

Would send Christmas presents (Ida May would pick out the cheapest she could find; eg. celuloid hair barret) to family at Stella after had moved to Lynchburg. Martha and Nannie Sue would open the presents to see what they were and then seal them back.

Alvin Benjamin Bowles was already living in Lynchburg when they Uncle Willie and Aunt Ida moved there. [Brøderbund WFT Vol. 11, Ed. 1, Tree #0089, Date of Import: Sep 30, 1999]

Met when Ida was a teacher and William was a student in a one-room school house, possibly in Smyrna, where William's father Henry Chapman Bowles taught from 1887-1889. Ida was very sensitive about the age disparity between them.
