!There is a conflict in the evidence regarding Nancy's father. The
death register (see above) gives her parents' names as John and Mary
Martin. The will of Shadrack Henderson (Nelson County, Virginia;
Will Book A; page 135) says that her parents were Shadrack and
Mary Henderson (calling her "Nancy Kerby"). For a description of the
