had four children, three of whom were living. (The Certificate to Obtain
a Marriage License for Mary's marriage to William Tomlin, in 1881, gives
her age as 22; but that is an understatement. In addition to this
1900 census record, the 1870 census gives her age as fifteen
(Nelson Co., p. 466B).)
