of Shadrack, she may have been Shadrack's stepdaughter instead.

!MARRIAGE: Marriage bond and consent note; Clerk's office;
Albemarle County, Virginia ("Barbara"). Also reflected in Albemarle
County Marriages, 1780-1853; by John Vogt & T. William Kethley;
vol. I; page 207. Birth date is based entirely on the assumption that she
married at about 21 years of age. This is apparently the Barbary Martin,
age 50-60, in the 1830 census of Albemarle County, Virginia (page 269).
