| John Dollins |
!BIRTH DATE: Albemarle County, Virginia; Personal Property Tax Lists (see note under his father, Richard Dollins). !BIRTH PLACE: Federal Census; 1850; Albemarle County, Virginia; page 246. This census record gives his age as 66. This is apparently either an exagerration or a mistranscription (perhaps a mistranscrip- tion for 60), because: (1) The personal property tax lists indicate that he turned age 16 in 1807. (2) In the 1830 census (Albemarle Co., p. 242) his age is given as 30-40, which would be consistent with a birth date of about 1791 but not with a birth date of about 1784 (his birth date according to the 1850 census). !MOTHER: Bill of Complaint; Nicholas Burgher etc. versus Joseph Burgher etc.; Albemarle County Chancery Cases; Library of Virginia Index number 1826-012 (stating that Anna BURGHER DOLLINS, mother of Sarah Dollins who married William H. Martin, was also the mother of John Dollins). !MARRIAGE: Mariage bond; Clerk's office; Albemarle County, Va. !SPOUSE (first name): Albemarle County, Virginia; Deed Book 26; page 71 (conveying part of the estate of Benjamin Burgher, along with certain of Benjamin's other heirs). | ||||||||||||||||||||||
