Notes
Individual:
!BIRTH DATE/PLACE (Virginia): Federal Census; 1860; Albemarle

County, Virginia; page 628.

!MARRIAGE: Albemarle County Marriages, 1780-1853;
by John Vogt & T. William Kethley, Jr. (1991); vol. I; page 327.

!PARENTS, BIRTH PLACE (Amherst Co.), DEATH DATE/PLACE:
Register of Deaths; Albemarle County, Virginia (as abstracted in
Death Records Indexing Project, at http://eagle.vsla.edu/drip/).
Death date/place also reflected in Will of David W. Wade; Albemarle
County, Virginia; Will Book 28; page 134 (executed and probated in
1868). The will mentions his wife Louisa. Says he was born in
Nelson County, but Nelson was created from Amherst in 1808.

!Although the death register (cited above) identifies David's parents
as Daniel and Malvina Wade, the "Malvina" in this record is apparently
an error for "Malinda" because (1) Daniel and Malinda Wade, of the
right age to be David's parents, were living in Nelson Co. in 1850,
(2) Daniel Wade married one "Linney" Witt in Amherst Co. in 1798
(Linney probably being a nickname for Malinda), (3) David was born in
Amherst Co. (from which Nelson Co. was created in 1808) two years
later, and (4) there is only one Daniel Wade in the 1810 census for
Nelson Co. (page 93), and that family includes a male under 10 and
another male age 10-15, either of which could be David. (See notes
under Daniel Wade for references to the 1850 census and the marriage
record.)

!See notes under Samuel Wade (in this gedcom) for evidence
regarding another possible child of David Wade.
