Individual:
!DEATH: Deed of gift from Andrew Harrison to Charles Harrison.
(King George County, Virginia, Deed Book 7, page 231 (dated and
recorded in 1788).). In this deed of gift, Andrew Harrison gave to
his son Charles Harrison "all that tract or parcel of land whereon my
father William Harrison deceased lying and being in the County of
King George."
!William was still living in 1771. His name appears on a King George
County quitrent roll for that year, with 100 acres (transcription
published in Magazine of Virginia Genealogy, vol. 32, number 4
(Nov. 1994), page 285, 287).
!William's father may be one Andrew Harrison, who died 1718 in
Essex County, Virginia. The will of this Andrew refers to his son
William and says he had given William 270 acres of land (Essex
County; Will Book __; pages 84-87; as abstracted in Essex County,
Virginia, Records, 1717-1722; by John Frederick Dorman (1959);
page 51). Although this William died in Essex County whereas my
William's land was in King George County (see first note above),
those counties were contiguous.
