Tomblin, daughter of Thomas Tomblin). Despite the different first
name (presumably a nickname), I believe that this is the marriage of
Susan Tomlin because:
(1) No other daughter of Thomas Tomlin, per the census records,
would have been of the right age to be married in 1853.
(2) Thomas Tomlin, father of Susan, is the only Thomas Tomlin in
the Albemarle Co. census records of the right age to have a child married
in 1853.
(3) An 1853 marriage date would be exactly right for Susan, given that
she was born about 1832.
(4) Susan was Thomas's third child, and the witnesses to Thomas's
consent to the marriage, Thomas W. Tomblin and David J. Tomblin,
were Thomas's first and second children, respectively.
