Individual:
!BIRTH DATE/PLACE: Federal Census; 1860; Nelson County, Virginia;
Page 832 (Frances Taylor, age 75 and born in Nelson County, listed as
"pauper" and apparently living in the Poor House). Nelson County was
created from Amherst County in 1808.
!MOTHER: Federal Census; 1850; Nelson County, Virginia; Page 245
("Frances Jr [ditto]," age 65, listed immediately after Frances Taylor, age
85). That this is the same Frances Taylor listed in the 1860 census (see
above) is shown by the facts that the ages match precisely, and that, in
both instances, she is listed as living in the Poor House. That the census
taker in 1850 called her "Frances Jr" reinforces the conclusion that the
Franceses were mother and daughter.
