Individual:
!DEATH DATE/PLACE: Will of William Suddarth; Amherst County,
Virginia; Will Book 1; page 4.
!FATHER: Will of James Sudduth; Stafford County, Virginia; Deed
Book [Wills] Liber O; page 240 (as transcribed in Virginia County
Court Records: Stafford County, Virginia Will Book (Liber 0); by
Ruth and Sam Sparacio; page 51). That this is the same William
Suddarth/Sudduth is indicated by the fact that the will of James
Sudduth mentions "my Grandson Lawrence Sudduth," and
William had a son Lawrence.
!This may be the "William Sudworth" whose name appears in the
following entry in Albemarle County Order Book I, 1744-1748 (as
transcribed in Albemarle County Road Orders 1744-1748; by
Nathaniel Mason Paw1ett (June 1975); page 11; published by the
Virginia Transportation Research Council; available on-line at
http://www.virginiadot.org/vtrc/main/index_main.htm):
"23 Jan. 1745 O.S., p. 88

Garden through Ivey Creek Pass to Rock fish Road. Order'd that
William Sudworth Hugh Dobbins and John Lyon or Any two of
them do View the same and make their Report there of to Next

Before the creation of Nelson County in 1808, Albemarle County and
Amherst County (where my William died) were contiguous.
