!The fact that Dicy was a daughter of Daniel Wade is shown
by the following facts:
(1) Daniel Wade was the bondsman for Dicy's marriage (though
without stating his relationship).
(2) Both the family of Dicy WADE DAWSON and the family of
Daniel WADE had moved, by 1860, to what later became central
West Virginia -- Dicy to Upshur County and Daniel to nearby
Braxton County (see note under Daniel Wade).
(3) Dicy named one of her children Malinda (see 1860 census
cited above), which was the name of Daniel Wade's wife.
!Stephen Dawson, age 66, and Dica Dawson, age 66, appear in
the 1870 census of Upshur County, Virginia (page 408).
