Our main Burk families, include BURKs, Virginia (Hugenots) MALLETTs , and the KNOWLTONs (Nova Scotia). My grandfather, Francis Leo Burk married a FULLEN in Texas. Most of my FULLEN information comes from Vida Rust who has spent many years researching this line. I have verified so far the (Stinnett) line within the Fullen side. On my mother's side, The HYSOMs, who reportedly came down from Novia Scotia, passed through Missouri and then to the Northwest and the state of Washington. The DRAKE line married into the Hysom family. Grandfather CAIN came through Texas before going by wagon train to the Northwest. He is one of my brick walls. I am constantly working to verify what I have learned but I am willing to accept any verifiable corrections. I thank all the other researchers who have willingly shared and published their research which has directed me to some of my conclusions. Many of you have shared personally with me through email or over the phone and some I have had the privilige of meeting in person. As I verify this data I give sources and when I discover Controversies I have deleted ancestors with notes. I have a long ways to go. So any documeted verification is welcome.
