"Uriah Stevens died on October 21, 1855, probably of typhoid fever, as
this was noted by the attending physician to have been the cause of death
of his sons, John Benjamin and Calvin...They are believed to be buried in
the Stevens Cemetery located on Tycer Road east of Tickfaw, LA, and a
grave marker has been installed there for them.
