Described in 1868 as a Coppersmith, then lived at 124 Stepney Green, Mile End, London.
1881 census shows living at address as above and occupation described as 'ship lampmaker'.  "Henry Sedgwick", ships lampmaker at 36 King David Lane Shadwell. Between 1875 and 1888 "Henry Sedgwick" became "Sedgwick and Co" at West Ferry Road.
