Thomas Hopkins was not wife his wife Rebecca Ann Hopkins and their first
two children (Violet Grace and Harold Stanley Hopkins) on the night of the
1901 census. The wife and children were residing at 12 Beedles Terrace (off
New Bridge Street in Exeter) with Rebecca's parents George and Eliza
Matthews. On the date of Thomas and Rebecca's marriage Thomas'
occupation was noted as being 'Man of Wars Man'. This means that Thomas
was a Naval Seaman. In 1901, he was most likely at Sea.
