"This Indenture made the tenth day of April in the
year of Christ one thousand
eight hundred and thirty seven between Mildred Payne, Nehemiah Meadors and
Margaret his wife Burnell Meadors and Lucy his wife Thomas Addison and
Malinda his wife Henry Ward and Lucy his wife Thomas Payne Ellzey Payne and
Andrew Abshire and Cally his wife of the county of Rupelb, Tazewell and
Franklin and state of Virginia of the one part Turner Richardson of Franklin
County and said state of the other part witness that the said Mildred Payne,
Nehemiah Meadors and Margaret his wife Burnell Meadors and Lucy his wife
Thomas Addison and Malinda his wife Henry Ward and Dicey his wife Thomas
Payne Ellzey Payne And Andrew Abshire and Cally his wife for and in
consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to them in hand paid by the
Turner Richardson at on before the sealing and delivery of these presents the
receipt where of is hereby acknowledged have bargained and tote and by these
presents do and each of them doth bargain and sell into the said Turner
Richardson his heirs and apigns a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being
in the said county of Franklin containing one hundred of …acres be the same
more or less of Roundel as follows. Beginning it a chestnut on a line of Robert
Payne and …his line 77 Degree E 124 to a while oak on a branch thence down
the same as it meanders to a fork in it thence ..the north fork as it meanders to a
cucumber north 88 degree til 66..to a poplar at the head of a branch on the .. line
thence with it to the beginning. Together with all appurtenances privileges and
advantages to the same belonging to have and to hold the said back of land and
appurtenance unto the said Turner Richardson his heirs and assigns forever and
the 1st Mildred Payne Nehemiah Meadors and Margaret his
wife…………….Thomas Payne Ellzey Payne for themselves and heirs do hereby
consent and grant to and with the said Turner Richardson his heirs and apigens
the track of land aforesaid free from the claim or claims of them the said Mildred
Payne, Nehemiah Meadors…….Thomas Payne Ellzey Payne or either of them
their or either of their heirs and of all and every person or persons whosever
shall will and do warrant and forever …in witness whereof the said Mildred
Payne Nehemiah Meadors and Margaret his wife Burnell Meadors and
Lucy his wife Thomas Addison Malinda his wife Henry Ward
and Dicey his wife

hereunto set their hands and seals the day appear first herein witness.
