William died
August 12, 1627 in HOLLAND, at age 44. a member of
the Virginia Company, and subscriber tot he second
Charter, 1609. He was knighted September 20, 1609,
was a soldier by profession, and was killed August
12, 1627 at the last siege of Groll in Holland,
leaving a will July 15, 1622-23 June 1628, The
inquisition post mortem, August 9, 1628 gives the
date of his death.
