Source Text: The Obituary for Mary Ellen Crawford is as follows: "Mrs Mary Gilmour Crawford, wife of the late Dr. G. F. Crawford, died at Corvalis last night at 11 o'clock, of cancer of the stomach, at the age of about 75 years. The deceased came to Oregon from Illinois in 1852, residing here the remainder of her life, building up a splendid reputation as a wife, mother and neighbor, beloved by all fortunate in possessing her acquaintance. he life was one that left its impression on those around her. Mr. and Mrs. Crawford were married in 1845 and died only a few months apart. The deceased leave three sons, Jas. G., W.W. and Orville, and two daughters, Mrs. T. L. Dugger and Miss Helen Crawford of the O.A.C. faculty. The remains were brought to Albany on the noon train and will be buried tomorrow, with funeral services at the residence of Jas. G. Crawford in this city at 10 o'clock."
