HARRIET may have remarried to a Jones prior to the 1880 U.S. Census and resided in Tarrant County, Texas at the time of the 1880 U.S. Census.

Source Text: This source is very old and was handwritten in ink by LEWIS LINEBARGER, father of HARRIET LINEBARGER. It was among the possessions of LEWIS LINEBARGER's daughter, VIRGINIA [GILMOUR] LINEBARGER at the time of her death in 1914, and was given to her daughter [ and my great Aunt] MAUD GILMOUR. It indicates HARRIET LINEBARGER was the name of the first child of LEWIS and JANE [HENDERSON] LINEBARGER and that HARRIET married a DAVID MURPHY in 1838 prior to the LINEBARGERs leaving for Oregon in 1843. This record was passed on to me by my great Aunt MAUD GILMOUR prior to the time of her death in 1968. Aunt MAUD received it from her mother, ViRGINIA LINEBARGER GILMOUR, daughter of LEWIS LINEBARGER and JANE HENDERSON.
