Title: Notes
Text:
ALEXANDER GILMOUR's gravestone in the Bannister - Meeker Cemetery in
Indian Creek, Monroe County, Missouri indicates that he was born on 8
October 1790 and that he died on 14 August 1861 in Indian Creek, Monroe
County, Missouri.
This new information indicates that his mother may have been LOSEY
LODDEN who is believed to have been the second spouse of JAMES
GILMOUR. It was previously thought that he was born in 1789.
JAMES GILMOUR was married to LOSEY LODEN in Lincoln County, KY on
20 March 1789, and thus it appears that his other two sons, Dr. JAMES
GEORGE GILMOUR [ born in Lincoln County, KY on 3 Sep 1784] and
GEORGE GILMOUR [born in Lincoln County, KY on 10 March 1788] were
half brothers of ALEXANDER GILMOUR.
