Source Text: According to Mr. James Killebrew of the Christian County, KY Genealogical Society in a letter to me dated April 13, 1974, in Deed Book S, page 457, cited the land sale by "JAMES GILMOUR" and POLLY his wife to JEREMIAH WEAVER both of Christian County all that tract of land on Waters of Little River in Christian Co., formerly occupied by JOHN BLEDSOE for $42.00. Dated 7 March 1831" Note: the name in the book was spelled "GILMOUR". Also, not long after this sale JAMES GILMOUR and his family moved to Illinois.

PLEASE NOTE: the spelling of last name in the book is GILMOUR for both JAMES and GEORGE. Also, the GEORGE GILMOUR listed "in partnership" with the father JAMES Sr. was the brother of JAMES GILMOUR Jr.
