- Title: James Smith Gilmore by Bean Blossom
Page: 26 & 28
Source Text: Although much of the information in the Bean Blossom document is questionable, the 1722 date of birth in Ireland for JAMES GILMOUR on page 26 coincides with documentation supporting claims that this was the father of our JAMES GILMOUR [on page 28 and in his Revolutionary War pension claims in Christian County, Kentucky in 1832 ] who was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania in 1745. We know from this pension claim that our JAMES GILMOUR Jr. [born in 1745] moved with his parents to Augusta County, Virginia when he was a young child. This move to Augusta County occured in 1748.
