Source Text: WILLIAM DAVID GILMOUR departed Hancock County, Illinois in about April of 1851 with his parents, JOHN WILSON GILMOUR and JANE ALEXANDER [BRONAUGH] and his siblings, LUCY ELEANOR GILMOUR, JOHN THOMAS GILMOUR, JAMES ALEXANDER GILMOUR, NANCY ELIZABETH GILMOUR, GEORGE ROBERT GILMOUR and MARTHA ANN GILMOUR. They arrived in Oregon in September 1851 and resided for a time in Washington County, Oregon and then after his father accepted a Donation Land Claim on 17 Sepetmber 1851 they moved to Linn County, Oregon where they established a home.
