Source Text: LUCY ELEANOR GILMOUR accompanied her parents, JOHN WILSON GILMOUR and JANE ALEXANDER [BRONAUGH] GILMOUR and her siblings, WILLIAM DAVID GILMOUR, JOHN THOMAS GILMOUR, JAMES ALEXANDER GILMOUR, NANCY ELIZABETH GILMOUR and GEORGE ROBERT GILMOUR on the overland journey by wagon train from Hancock County, Illinois to Oregon in the year 1851. They departed on their joruney in about April and arrived in Washington County, Oregon in September 1851. On 17 September 1851, her father JOHN WILSON GILMOUR accepted a Donation Land Claim near Lebanon in Linn County, Oregon and that is where the family established a home.

Source Text: According to ROY [GEORGE LEROY] WHEATON in 1962 in a letter to me he was the great- grandson of LUCY ELLEN GILMOUR and the grandson of her daughter, ELIZABETH LINEBARGER and DAVID WHEATON. LUCY ELLEN GILMOUR was married to ANDREW JACKSON LINEBARGER and their daughter, ELIZABETH LINEBARGER was orphaned at a very young age. Her mother, LUCY ELLEN LInebarger died circa 1853 and her father, ANDREW JACKSOn LINEBARGER died in 1861. After her mother's death, ELIZABETH LINEBARGER went to live with her grandparents, JOHN WILSON and JANE A. GILMOUR and she was raised by them.
